A Case of Hemophilia B (Christmas disease)

Abstract
|
|
|
Hemophilia B is hereditary disorder of blood coagulation known as P.T.C. deficiency
(Christmas disease) and indistinguishable clinically with Hemophilia A.
A 19 year old Korean man who admitted to Seoul National University Hospital with
chief complaints of bleeding tendency and righthand joint pain has presented here as a
case of hemophilia B. (Christmas disease). Some laboratory tests including P.T.T. and
other presumptive tests for differentiation of Hemophilia was compatible with Hemophilia
B in this patient.
